Grants for Graduate Students
The Division of the Arts provides research support to faculty, staff, and students in the arts. Each spring, the Division of the Arts recognizes achievements and service, and supports creative projects and research. The call for applications and nominations is released in early fall with a deadline in November. The Division of the Arts offers eight annual awards split into three categories: Faculty Arts Research, Staff and Faculty Arts Outreach, and Student Arts Research and Achievement.
Student Research Grants Competition
The SRGC Awards are given to those invited to present research at a conference or those who need additional funds to support research travel in preparation for their thesis or final exhibition. Awards are granted in $600 or $1,500 amounts depending on the number of qualifying expenses listed in the application. Funding for these awards generously comes from the Vilas Trust and the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation.
